I was commissioned by the organization, Welcome to Chinatown, to capture and document several Lion Dances they had sponsored during the 2022 Lunar New Year. This traditional dance is said to bring good fortune and prosperity, and so these performances were used to help draw crowds and build buzz around several Asian-owned businesses in NYC’s Chinatown.
